Highly acclaimed international wine critic Daniele Cernilli, aka DoctorWine, returned to London’s Le Méridien Hotel, Piccadilly, the 14th of January to discuss the radical transformation Italian wines have taken in both viti and viticultural techniques and to launch “The Essential Guide to Italian Wine 2019”. Over 30 top Italian producers joined Daniele to present their award winning wines at a very special tasting from 6pm to 8pm. Wine enthusiasts were spoilt for choice, with hundreds of top Italian wines to taste at a very reasonable ticket price of £25.

Daniele Cernilli, the author of “The Essential Guide to Italian Wine 2019” and of the four guides that precede it, has extensive knowledge and experience of Italian wines, their varieties new and old, the terrain in which they are grown, and the people behind the wine, spanning from the 1970s, through the great “revolution” of the 1980s and 1990s, and its renaissance over the last decade. The guides made Daniele one of the most knowledgeable Italian wine critics. “The Essential Guide To Italian Wine” – soon to be available on Amazon – is an excellent resource for wine professionals, students and enthusiasts of Italian wines. This straightforward guide is written in an uncomplicated manner, and gives clarity to the vast range of Italian wines.
