A sensory journey to explore the rich cultural and gastronomic heritage of Apulia: this was the aim of an event organized on November 20 by Accademia Apulia UK at La Pizzica Restaurant in Fulham.
Attendees had the opportunity to meet and interact with talented young Apulian chefs, bakers, sommeliers, and other key figures in the culinary scene from London, further building a sense of belonging and strengthening ties with their homeland.
Highlights of the event – called “Apulian Spirit Connects Cultures” – included five tasting stands, one dedicated masterclass room on Apulian wines and beers, one cooking show station and presentations of 25 Apulian wine labels and 9 craft beers.
The initiative of Accademia Apulia UK wanted to “promote Apulia’s identity, fostering international connections, and providing a platform for the region’s young talents working in the Ho.Re.Ca. sector in London” and “also facilitates opportunities for co-marketing and the promotion of Apulian products within the UK market”.
It was supported by Regione Puglia under the patronage of ITA (Italian Trade Agency), by the importer TACCO Ltd, by the Associazione Internazionale Pugliesi nel Mondo and by a network of Apulian producers.
