More Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Jeepbadged vehicles such as fire and rescue, ambulances, police cars, doctors, nurses, consultants, teachers and lecturers vehicles could be taking to the UK’s roads in the future.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles UK has been granted inclusion in the framework for the Crown Commercial Service (CCS), the Government scheme which provides vehicles to the public sector, and is celebrating for this success.

Specialist cars such as 4x4s, commercial vehicles and people carriers also come under the CCS scheme, giving FCA UK an excellent opportunity to appeal to rural police forces, fire and rescue services, first responders and bespoke mobile services such as forensic teams.

The FCA corporate fleet sales operation, which is BSI accredited, already supplies vehicles to 10 of the UK’s 13 NHS ambulance trusts, and is looking to build further on future fleet wins of this type.

“It has been a four year process to become part of the CCS platform and a lot of work has gone into this, so we are clearly hopeful of the growth it can deliver,” says Neil McNicholl, Motability & National Public Sector Manager, FCA UK.

“The breadth of the current FCA Group range – explains McNicholl – is key to us serving the mobility needs of a range of public services – from coach-built Ducato vans for the UK ambulance trusts, to the new Jeep Compass and Renegade for rural applications, and the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio for senior management use. And we also see the Fiat Tipo as a perfect fit for doctors, nurses and first responders – lots of practical space, with a starting price of just £9,995.” A 24-hour servicing programme, mobile maintenance team for warranty work and additional field fleet support and head office staff have been added to ensure FCA’s corporate fleet sales operation offers the best possible service to customers.
